Going further back in time, Here are some press adverts for some Move, E.L.O , Wizzard and Roy Wood Gigs - In 1968 The Move came to The Assembly Hall in Aylesbury - It would cost you 10 old shillings to get in ( 50 UK pence )
This was for the 1972 UK E.L.O tour.
Still in 1972, and at the time of this gig,The Move's California Man was still in the charts. It looks like someone thought it would be a good idea to remind people who E.L.O were...
Just 40 pence would get you into this E.L.O Christmas night, Including food, hats, bubbles and balloons !!
1973 and Roy's on the road with Wizzard
Only 80 pence on the door to see Wizzard in 1973 - 10 pence more than Fairport Convention who were on the following week
Supported by Nick Pickett at the great Friars club in Dunstable
Still 1973 and Wizzard are "On tour in places where you can dance" with Raymond Froggat
1974 - and at The De Montfort Hall in Leicester, Roy is now starring in "The Wizzard Show" !!
1986 - just a few weeks after the famous Heartbeat 86 concert, I can't remember how big the Big band were or if they were male or female. I have a feeling that this was an all male band with some female backing singers, the same as the Heartbeat gig.
